Sand change<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

The water quality of your swimming pool largely depends on sand filtration. The grains of sand retain deposits and impurities of all kinds. Its maintenance and possible replacement are essential to the quality of your water.<\/p>\n

Regular backwashing, commonly called \u201cbackwash\u201d, as well as sand descaling (sand cleaner) annually or every two years are enough to keep your sand in good condition for a while. Depending on the hardness of your water, the regularity of maintenance, etc., your sand can have a lifespan of between three and seven years.<\/p>\n

Grains of sand wear out over time and lose their effectiveness. Certain signs may alert you: lower flow rate from the discharge nozzles even after backwashing; pool water often cloudy or green; sand that doesn’t flow easily through your fingers when you grab a handful from the container.<\/p>\n

Detecting a water leak<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

Signs to watch out for: water level dropping abnormally during the summer; very low level after a very snowy winter. In summer, to validate that the drop in water is simply due to evaporation, place a container with water and indicate the level, also mark the water level of your swimming pool.
